Integrating Technology
In the classroom I rely on multiple forms of technology to make content more clear, discussions more engaging, and to develop 21st century skills in my students. On this page I show some of the ways I have integrated technology into my classroom
Bubblr & Flickr
Students can use pictures on Flickr to create a visual slideshow that showcases their understanding of key concepts. The piece below shows how a student creatively demonstrated his understanding of key vocab terms from an Ecology Unit.
Quizlet
Students like having choices and this site provides a great way to differentiate study options while ensuring that the students are getting good practice at mastering knowledge-level skills. The example below shows a set of genetics study cards my students used in preparation for a genetics assessment.
Animoto
Animoto allows you to create slideshows that can tell a quick story with appealing graphics and music. I created and used the Animoto below as a hook to a unit on the circulatory system.http://animoto.com/play/vkv1AVOeNLYvcKgiQulCjg# (Link to Animoto site)
